Desk Chair: 2003 - Pittsburgh Apartment
I had a really crappy desk chair for years, so I designed and built a new one. I had been lugging around this 5 caster base for years, had plenty of plywood in our storage area, and obtained some leftover foam and fleece from the hug project, so all I had to buy was some 1/2" aluminum rod for the pins. The back rest is linked to the seat with rubber bands and string to make it return to it's full upright position, and as a fully extended position. The seat is also hinged to the base, so I can lean back without balancing on 2 casters.
